Storm season: running emergency call-outs without losing track

After a big storm, the phones don't stop. Trees on roofs, limbs across driveways, customers who need help today. It's some of the most important work a tree company does, and it's also when things are most likely to fall apart.

Capture every call

Every call should become a job record right away, with the address, what's down, and how urgent it is. Sticky notes and memory don't hold up when you're getting fifty calls a day.

Sort by urgency, not by who called first

A tree on a house comes before a limb in the backyard. When every call is in one place, it's easy to see what needs a crew first and what can wait until tomorrow.

Storm work is a sprint. A clear list is what keeps it from turning into chaos.

Spin up crews fast

Pull crews off regular work, assign them storm jobs, and route them so they aren't crisscrossing town. When plans change, and they will, crews see the update on their phone.

Don't lose the billing

Emergency work is easy to under-bill when everyone is moving fast. Logging the work on each job as it happens means the invoice is ready when things calm down.

Follow up after

Many storm customers need more work later, like stump grinding, cleanup, or an inspection of what's still standing. Add those follow-ups while you're on site so they don't get lost.
